| DC-Footing |
DC Footing calculates single, strip and circular footings, also single footings and sleeve footings. Additionally, for strip footings we support centering by a bend-proof fixing of a wall (cantilever footing) or by a foundation slab. DC-Footing/Pylon is used for the analysis of fixed block and pylon footings acc. to the approach by Sebastian Steckner (Bautechnik 66 (1989), no. 2). The approach has been improved to be able to use soil layers, ground water level and excavation conditions. The program calculates all foundation engineering designs (overturning, sliding, bearing capacity, settlement, permissible soil pressure) as well as the reinforced concrete design (bending design, punching design, shear force design, design of the foundation sleeve). For the design, the load cases are automatically combined according to DIN 1055-100 resp. SIA 260 For the foundation engineering design, the load cases are treated in accordance with DIN 1054:2005 resp. SIA 267 The bearing capacity analysis supports the new DIN 4017:2006 standard resp. SIA 267 The design may optionally be done acc. to DIN 1045-1, ÖNORM B 4700, SIA 262 and British Standard BS 8110 Variable soil layering, ground-water levels, excavation (respectively construction) situations, base inclination of the footing and ground inclination are available for the analysis.Depending on the load orientation and the ground surface height, the sliding safety and the bearing capacity designs are analyzed for all four directions and the critical direction is determined. The footing dimensions (width and depth) may be optionally optimized. All combinations resulting for several load cases (including the use of leading and non-leading load cases with pertaining ψ factors) may be optionally listed in a table. Alternatively, you may enable the short-print option for the critical result values. For reinforced concrete design, the program may optionally analyze compact footings and reinforcement distribution acc. to DAfStb Booklet 525 and Booklet 240, respectively. For punching reinforcement, you may apply vertical stirrups or inclined bend-ups and, optionally, increased longitudinal reinforcement instead of punching reinforcement (if the reinforcement grade permits it). For sleeve footings (Design acc. to Booklet 411 or DBV), you may also calculate the punching in the construction state (column load in the foundation sleeve). For punching design with eccentric loads, the program determines the highest loaded quarter in compliance with Booklet 399. To obtain the permissible soil pressure, the program automatically calculates all increases and reductions of the pressure according to DIN 1054:2005 depending on the soil type (non-cohesive, cohesive, rock acc. to DIN 1054:2005 or DIN 1054:1976). Alternatively, you may define the permissible soil pressure in the soil layers. XZ View, YZ View, XY Top View and 3D Display features are available for the input process and the graphical display. With the 3D View feature, you may freely rotate the footing so you may have a quick overview over the dimensions and the loads. The 4-pane window allows to freely dividing the screen to work in either one maximized window or in several windows providing thus an overview of the entire system. For the analysis of pylon footings acc. to Steckner the serviceability and the stability analysis are done and the respective utilization factor is printed.
