DC-Gabion

PICTURE_DC_GABION

The program DC GABION is available separately or together with DC GEOTEX.

The program DC GABION is used for the analysis of gabions and supporting structures from concrete elements and layered blocks acc. to the bulletin of FGSV. Free-standing walls as well as supporting structures are analyzed. With the program DC GABION no input of a reinforced earth block alone and no analysis of geosynthetics are possible.

The analysis – with the exception of free-standing walls – is performed using the Kinematical Elements Method (KEM) through a block sliding mechanism. This analysis specifies the required lengths and forces of the geosynthetics.

The analysis performs also:

  • tilt safety analysis
  • sliding safety analysis
  • bearing capacity analysis
  • slope stability analysis through a friction circle analysis
  • analysis of the earth pressure on the front wall when the geosynthetics are transloaded
  • the analysis of the wall construction with stability of the single blocks with safety against overturning and sliding
  • the calculation of the required gabion wire for gabions resp. the strength of the blocks with concrete or stone elements.
